Bartender

Job Description

 

BARTENDERS & MIXOLOGISTS needed for a new Caribbean/Asian fusion restaurant and bar in Englewood New Jersey. We are looking for professionals who are looking for an opportunity to grow. We’d like to interview you if being personable is second nature and you provide top-notch customer service while maintaining control of your assigned area/station.

BARTENDER / MIXOLOGIST must be extremely knowledgeable of the spirits and can handle the below duties/responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mix drinks using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits, including standard and unique drinks
  • Able to think quickly and provide patrons with drink/food pairing options
  • Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each client and maintain a safe environment by identifying problem clients and having them removed
  • Keep bar area clean, safe and organized
  • Collect money for drinks served and providing change as needed; Balance cash receipts; Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night
  • Mix all drinks based on the standard serving sizes, keeping drink costs at a minimum
  • Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar and in the dining room satisfied at all times
  • Take beverage orders from customers or wait staff and serving drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail
  • Check identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers
  • Keep a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
  • Organize the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
  • Slice, pit, and prepare fruit garnishes for drinks
  • Monitoring all patrons for alcohol intake to appropriate levels and attempting to curtail inappropriate behavior
  • Assist in ensuring patrons always have a safe ride home, calling a taxi or Uber when appropriate

Job Description

Host / Hostess – Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of *CZEN Restaurant*

Warmly and graciously greet all guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas. o Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant when possible.

o Provide guests with menus and inform them of their server’s name upon seating. o Have excellent knowledge of OPENTABLE system
o Record guest names and the number of people in party and provide guests with estimated waiting time when immediate seating is limited.
o Assign guests to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings.
o Call out name and number of party when tables become available.
o Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, to respond to complaints, or to make conversation.
o Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls.
o Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and guests to ensure that dining details are handled properly, and customers’ concerns are addressed.

o Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.

o Inform guests of establishment specialties and features.

o Receive and record guests’ dining reservations.

o Inspect restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies and clean restrooms when necessary.

o Relay messages to servers and bussers as needed.

o Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.

o Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.

o Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant.

Job Description

 

Line Cooks and Prep Cooks needed for CZEN, a new Caribbean/Asian fusion restaurant in Englewood NJ. We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for the menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food

Job Description

 

CZEN Restaurant is hiring a hands-on Chef for our new Caribbean Asian Fusion restaurant, “CZEN”.

Chef responsibilities include studying existing recipes, setting up menus, preparing high-quality dishes and leading your team with the head chef. You should be able to delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner. You should be familiar with sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to set up and prepare all food items; opening and closing duties; replenishment and rotation of stock
  • Set up of non-food items for shift; high level of sanitation awareness and conscientiousness; professional, safe, and efficient manner.
  • Inputting daily event sheets and daily reports.
  • Production of menu items in a timely manner and in accordance with company standards.
  • Ability to follow directions precisely and consistently; maintenance of work area and proper food storage; opening and closing duties.
  • Adheres to company guidelines and house rules, always exceeds guest expectations.
  • Assist in staffing, scheduling, training, and counseling of event staff.
  • Ability to interact with guests and staff in order to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of food and beverage menu, specials and services offered.
  • Ability to assure compliance with company service standards, company inventory and cash control procedures.
  • Work as a team with fellow associates and manage and lead your culinary team

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Chef. Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques. Sushi rolling & knowledge of Caribbean food is a plus.

  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
